Change!

I've come to the conclusion that I have to search for new homes for my normal skin tinies :/
For so long I've been trying to give them faceups and such, but I'm honestly just more interested in bigger dolls ;__;"
I feel so sorry for them, they've just been laying blank around all the time I've had them, so I've finally decided to focus on my bigger dolls and let all my small ones go except Alice.
Inspiration has not come to me for my small ones, even though I had a story for them. I just don't bond that well with child-like dolls I guess >__<"

So, now I'm hoping to finish some faceups for them, so that I can try to sell them. (It's me trying to make it up to them a little ^^")
I hope some nice people out there is in need of these gorgeous PW tinies. :)

Also, after deciding to focus on the bigger dollies, I wanted them to have a theme/shared story. The other night I had this really vivid dream about my dolls (NEVER happened before XD), where they were this cool crew.
I asked my awesome friend (Anne) for help, because she has an awesome collection and is super good with this stuff. <3
She wanted to know my plan, so I told her and she told me to go with it ;D
(Anne! I'll probably need you to cheer for me sometimes, because I'm afraid I'll have to make most of the clothes and stuff myself ;__;")
Anyways, the idea is pretty inspired by my all time favorite game; Final Fantasy IX.
My dollies are a bunch of outlaws who are traveling from city to city on their bad ass airship (pirate-ish). When they land in a city they pose as a traveling circus-ish troupe where they all have their different acts. By doing this they can get a lot of nice information about who is the big-shots in each city, and who they should target and rob (yeah, they are not all good). But somehow they always end up getting involved with suspicious incidents and stuff, making them sort of the anti-hero types. XD'

I haven't really thought much about the story or anything, but I think it would be super inspiring to work with this ^^
Lawrence (don't have a name for him yet, so I just call him his sculpt name for now) will be the leader/captain - 'cus LAWRENCE!! X'D sorry
Freyah and Ophelia will be his trusty assassin girls - I guess Lawrence saved them from the gangsters who had trained them and made them kill people. These girls are super loyal to Lawrence (obsessed?? ö_Ô) and will do anything for him. Their circus act is knife-throwing at each other XD
Not sure what Fitzie will be, I was thinking magician, but somehow he is just too grumpy looking X'D maybe a clown? No, that's cruel. Hehe
Then there is also Hunky Dory (no name ready for her yet either ^^") - I'm also at a loss with her...but I'll find something out for her. >:D
You guys have ideas for roles for Fitz and H.D.? :D

Would be so cool to make an in-scale model of their airship for them *________________*
I'm kind of thinking I'll use the Oscar Doll eyes I've ordered for their circus outfits ;D that way it's not a waste that I bought them XD' I'm so bad ;__;")/

PLOT TWIST!

I've been so restless these last many days...Somehow I needed a new doll in my life I guess.

At least that is what I'm telling myself to justify my newest order...

I have this awesome friend (pretty little dolls), who ordered an EID Rex some time ago, and I've been BOMBARDED with the most gorgeous pictures of him ever since she received him.
And today, I caved in and ordered Lawrence...in real skin...because...LAWRENCE!! OMG!! *runs off to fangirl land*

I have NO name, NO character, NOTHING for him XD' But I'm just super duper happy and I just can't believe what I just did ö___ö)v

I ordered some stuff with him, so that he will not be naked when he gets here.
I've decided on a 3 payment layaway plan, so I suppose I'll have him home around mid-Juli :D
Whooop whooop! I'm crazy I know...but look at him! *____* he is a HUNK! And he'll be MY hunk!

Bought Oscar Doll eyes

I've been brooding a lot about what to do style-wise with my dolls to make them look very unique and like they belong to me. I haven't had much luck with that until a few days ago.

Once again I found myself looking through Taobao in search for something cool, when it hits me - I keep going to the pages showing cute and frilly stuff. I don't want my dolls to be child-like, but I must confess I'm a sucker for lolita/mori/victorianesque dresses. So I think - maybe I should use this as my style, but make my own take on it.

First, I decide that I want Oscar Doll eyes for all my dolls. I love how they look and sparkle, and it gives a nice and exciting feel to the dolls imo. I wanted colorful eyes, because the clothes I'll be making (yeah, hopefully this will go well and not be an eternal project) will all be more dusty/powder colors. So I thought it might make a cool contrast with sparkly colorful eyes ^^

I hope to be able to make clothes that can look well together with my White Rabbit Tristan's full set, as I'd really like for him to wear it actually. It's so detailed and cool. It would be a shame to just use it for special shoots.

For the fun of it, I've played around with Photoshop to 'try the eyes I've bought in the dolls I want them in'. So here you can see which eyes I've ordered:

The Loli Clown eyes for my Fitzwilliam because they are red-ish and look really nice ^^

 The Aqua Blue eyes for Freyah, because I think she looks amazing with blue/green eyes :D

And the Divine Excorcist eyes for Ophelia, because I've always thought she needed yellow/orange-ish eyes, and I really found these interesting. I've ordered these in 14mm, but I got her Dlight Oscar Doll eyes in 16mm, so I'm pretty excited to see how they'll actually look (obviously not as fake as here) XD

I've been communicating a lot with PW over the last few days because of these eyes. They told me that the Dandy Tristan sculpt use 14mm Oscar Doll eyes, and that open eyed dolls would use 16mm Oscar Doll eyes. Therefore I tried ordering Ophelia's eyes a size smaller than her Dlight eyes, because I'd like to think it will look more 'natural' size-wise. :)

I'm really happy that PW allowed me to get all these eyes send (free shipping!) together with Fitzwilliam once he is ready. That was really cool of them. I also bothered them with my store points, because their home page had somehow stopped counting my points a year ago or so. XD'

So I almost got a pair of eyes for free! :O

That is it for now. The Taobao order from December is finally in Denmark, but due to really sloppy customs work, it has still not been released. ^^"

But I will make sure to post about all the stuff I've received when I do ;D

Not a lot of news

As I'm just eagerly waiting for news on my Dandy Tristan - even though there is at least a month before he will ship - I don't have that much news to tell doll-wise.
I payed off the second layaway payment for my Hunky Dory as soon as I had money this month. XD I'm so excited to have her home, but I still feel I should also spend a little on the ones I already have.
School life is really hard right now, and I'm beginning to prepare for the exams in June, so I don't have a lot of time to play with my cuties ;__; I still need to do a lot of faceups...somethings never change XD

My sisters and I are still waiting for the last big delivery of our combined Taobao order back in December, so I'm looking forward to all the new stuff I'm gonna get YAY!! :D

...Even though I say I'm busy with school, I still managed to spend a lot of time making new dreamself.me versions of my dolls - now including concepts for my incoming Hunky Dory whose name is still not clear to me ^^

News!! :D

I finally made the last payment for my White Rabbit today!! Yaaay!! I'll have my Fitzwilliam with me for the summer holidays :D
I still haven't found out what I'll buy for him, but he will have most already when he comes. Just needs some boots and maybe some eyes. ^^
But really, I can't wait to see how the blu-grey skin tone looks like on a bigger doll. :)

Oh! And as soon as I finished my White Rabbit layaway, I asked for a new one for a suntan Hunky Dory XD
I'm so in love with her cute face. She is just soooo cute with her pouty big lips and droopy eyes *___*

I mean, look at her. She is gorgeous!! ^^
She will have a more 'mature' style I think. I really like her having warm colors...but I don't yet know how she will end up looking.
