Bought stuff ':3

Its really annoying not having any money. XD
I'd love to buy new dolls all the time, but by now my funds are exhausted and I'm really feeling the sad life of being a student on a tough budget >_<"
That didn't keep me from ordering lots of cool stuff from Taobao though. Now, you might think I've ordered more clothes or stuff like that...but I didn't ^^"
For some time now, I've been wanting to try my hand at sculpting, so I've bought lots of cool sculpting stuff :D
I don't know if I'll ever be able to make anything nice, but I'd love to try and see if I could make props and eventually dolls myself. Just for fun. I'm not planning on making stuff to sell ^^
It would be a nice creative outlet for me I think, especially when I start my internship next semester. Then I won't have homework or boring stuff like that - My spare time will be my own! Muhahahaaa >;D

This time I ordered using bhiner.com as an agent, because I read Alejandra had tried it and their fee seems lower than taobaotrends.com ^^
Its a nice page to use and pretty easy. I didn't quite understand the quote thing to begin with, but I found out. I let myself be confused by the word "quote" XD
I ended up having to bargain for a SAL shipping, because the package ended up weighing 4kg which was pretty pricey in shipping. So SAL was the least expensive option where tracking was still included. ^^"

I'll just show you guys what I bought:

 I've read somewhere that these are good to use for making joints and sockets, so I thought I'd try a set. They might also work as eye-sizers?! XD

 These things annoyed me in the past, but I've watched sculptors on YouTube use these to smoothe the clay on fine details and such. ^^ Needed those ;D

 String for 1/3 dolls. I've wanted some for some time, since its always nice to have around. And IF I try to sculpt a full doll, I'd probably want to see it all strung anyway ;P

 I honestly thought I was buying one single of these tiny screw/hook thingeys (those you sometimes see screwed in feet and such for the S-hooks), but they came in sets...I'm getting a lot of those then XD'

 

 It was cheap so I just upped and bought this saw. I felt a bit ridiculous doing it though. XD

I'm thinking, if I'm making a head I'd want to saw the headcap off, and if I'm making arms or legs I'd probably sculpt those in one and then saw them over where I want the joints?

 Small thingeys with little balls at the tips. Not really sure when and if to use these normally, but I thought they might do well for dimples, ears, eyes, nose and other such details ^^

After consulting with my dear friend Anne, I decided to try this blue version.

 I got this set. I've read that people find these dentist tools amazingly helpful when sculpting, so I bought a set.

Last but not least; a mechanical drill machine thing. :D

I hope it works decently. It was not very expensive, so I'm a bit afraid the quality might be bad. Hope not though ^^

So, that was it for this time. It all became around $80 which I think is very neat. These pictures are those I've gotten from bhiner.com after they received it all, and I'm pretty confident it is all nice stuff.

Well, that is it for now I think. This weekend I'll try to paint Freyah's body for the PW photo competition in December. :D Hope to be able to share some photos with you guys soon. <3

New order from Taobao

As promised, here is what I have on the way from Taobao.
My sister Johanne told me she would make a Taobao order at the end of December, so I quickly asked her if I could join since I don't really have anything for when my new girls arrive.

So, here is what I've ordered:

 These beautiful shoes I just had to have! I've even asked my sister to make a dress for one of my dolls that can match these shoes. Just knew I had to have them XD

 This wig for Freyah...but I don't know if it is a good enough quality ^^"

 This wig for Ophelia...I bought some different ones as I have a hard time deciding hairstyles. Especially for Ophelia...I don't know what colors will look good on her. XD

 This dress was a given for Freyah. It's so lovely.

 I decided to order two of these, to make school uniforms for my girls. I kept returning to this dress, so in the end I just sort of found an excuse to buy it ;P

 One set of black underwear for one of the girls.

I ordered another pair of shoes for Ophelia, but they were out of stock, so I've asked my sister to include another pair of shoes. I can't have my girls get jealous of each other from day one XD

Hopefully some of the wigs will work and give me a better idea of what they will end up wearing. I don't want them to only have one wig. I'd really like for both my girls to have different wigs in different styles to make fun photo-stories :D

Progress - in a way

I've been on holidays around the country (visiting family) and have therefore been quite inactive in here. Hope to change that now that I am back :D

Yesterday I sold my AngelsDoll Michael to a sweet girl in Germany. She transferred the money instantly and so he will be shipped out to her tomorrow when the post office opens.

I'm really happy he will go to a new home, because I have no interest in keeping him as I don't want dolls his size now. So I'm glad to see him go.

The money for him will be my savings for other doll stuff, and guess what - I've already made a little (!) order from Taobao to celebrate (or something). XD

It's still pending, but I hope the items will be as follows:

This Angel Studio dress for Alice that I've been drooling about for some time now. I think it will bring out her lovely blue-grey skin more.

These shoes for Nellie seeing as her dress turned out orange and these will be better, I think, than the pink ones I got her earlier.

And I bought these - one number 02, and two number 01

I've read a lot of nice reviews about these, so I want to try them out - they are said to be a bit more firm in the brush and to keep their shape for a really long time.

Unfortunately these are extremely hard to get your hands on - at least where I'm from. Everywhere I looked they were out of stock. The seller on Taobao ships these from Korea, so that means I'll have to wait about a month before Taobao can ship this order to me. But oh well, I'll just have to practice with my other brushes.

I also added quite a few eyelashes. They didn't cost that much, but they are nice to have.

So that's it for this time. I think I need to sell the 'old' dress Alice had, because I don't think she is going to want to wear it when the white one comes home XD

Patience paid off

I'm so excited!!
This morning I got a (well 4 actually) mail from PW that they had shipped my new tinies :D
I hope to get them here without any trouble.
Usually it takes about 8-9 days for parcels from Korea to arrive here in Denmark, so I'm hoping I'll get them at the end of next week ^^

I'm still waiting on news on my most recent Taobao order, but I'll probably not get their faceups done right away anyway as exams are coming up and I'll be quite stressed out until mid-June ^^"

Another thing: I've fallen in love with an Amors dress on Taobao that I think would be just perfect for Alice...So I guess I'll need to try even harder to sell some stuff to be able to buy it for her soon. It's way better than her brown set, so I think I'll sell that one too. :)

New TaoBao order :D

So considering me not having bought any clothes for my incoming Loki and Lucy, I decided I would pay a visit to TaoBao to see if I could find something nice, and I did :D

I've always wanted Loki and Lucy to be wearing school uniforms when they meet Alice for the first time, so I found these really cute uniforms for tiny-sized dolls. I was going to buy them in the white-shirt-black-collar version, but ended up ordering the white-shirt-green-collar version in stead, as I think it would look even cuter. ^^

I've ordered the two uniforms exactly as shown here. Not sure if the socks comes with the set, otherwise I'll just find out. It's not so important atm.

I bought shoes to go with the school uniforms too. A pair og black Mary Janes for Lucy (duh) and a pair of black (formal) shoes for Loki.

 Very cheap and very nice-looking compared to the other shoes I saw.

I didn't want the same style for Lucy as the shoes for Annabelle and Nellie, that would be boring, so I bought these that I think are very cute.

I still needed a wig for Loki, so I found a brown wig with light stripes in it. I was actually going for a darker, more grey-ish, wig for him but I thought this one was better.

I wanted a wig that looked sort of 'messy' but maybe this is more 'princey'? XD

Actually I was also looking for some everyday wear for the two, but ended up deciding I could wait. I had to buy a new phone two days ago because I smashed my iPhone, so I needed to control my money-spending desire a bit. >_<"

BUT! I thought, why not add a few backdrops to the order as well, seeing as they are quite inexpensive. So I picked out three to begin with. They should be the cloth ones if I read the sites correctly (but who knows, I get TaoBao translated into Danish so I'm not really sure).

Ups. Long time, no post.

It has actually been over a month since I last posted. That is bad!!
I've been really busy with school and stuff, so there hasn't really been happening a lot of doll-related stuff around here.

However, I decided to write to Peak's Woods today, to inquire after my layaway order that I finished back in March. I just wanted to hear if they could give me an estimate as to how soon my new dollies will be shipped. Hopefully it will be soon. If I am not mistaken, it looks like my order is the oldest payed-in-full layaway order now, so I guess they ought to ship my order soon...*hopes* ^^

I still need to find a pair of white or orange shoes for Nellie, as her dress turned out to be orange and not pink XD
But the stuff I got from TaoBao was really great. I'm so surprised at the quality. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've really gotten some awesome stuff (reffering here to the order mentioned in the privious post). The wigs are great, the eyes look awesome and the dresses are really cute. I found out the two dresses came with a pair of socks as well - I don't know if I forgot or just didn't read the describtion properly or what, but now I have a lot of pretty socks for my girls. ^^"

So I'm really hoping for a positive reply from Peak's Woods, and that I shall meet my new additions very soon. :3

Taobaotrends wrote me today saying they ordered my stuff on Taobao.
Later though, I got a mail that the eyes for Lucy was out of stock :'(
I really like those eyes, so I'm quite sad I can't have them, but I choose another pair in stead as I have already payed:

These will be Lucy's eyes then. I like them, and they are more like the color I originally had planned for her, so it's not that bad. ^^

So yeah, just wanted to share. I just hate when the stuff you want is not in stock XD

I promised to post what I actually ordered from Taobao, so here it is:

(I did go after blue eyes with black pupils, but I fell in love with these, so I couldn't help myself)

(It was important to me, that the bob cut did not just look like a round blob on her head, but that it looked like an actual haircut)

 

I ended up buying 2 of these wigs for Annabelle and Nellie

(Originally I had planned on more fluffy-curly types of wigs, but this one was really cute so I decided to give it a try)

And finally I bought these two dresses for Annabelle and Nellie

As I wrote previously, I had imagined Annabelle in blue/mint colors, but these dresses fitted the idea I have of the girls much better than any pink & blue dresses (I needed the same dress in two different colors, so it was hard to decide on which to buy). I've gotten quite used to the idea of Annabelle wearing purple already. And maybe it makes it a little more 'twin'-like XD

So yeah, this was a big order. I hope it will get past the customs once it is shipped, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the stuff IRL. Hope the standards are as my previous Taobao order. ^^
