New addition to the family

Hi again!

So on Wednesday I woke up and felt super tired, so I texted my boss to ask if I could use a holiday-day-off because I was tired. He told me yes so I went back to sleep. When I woke up I got a text from PostNord saying I could pick up my Rosemii Blossom! Yay!

The new Pink Punch skin tone is awesome! It really looks like bubblegum. Its a very nice pink shade. Kinda dusty.

Also. The clothes is GORGEOUS as always! I took some pictures of Rosemii and Hunky Dory in their new outfits and put those on my Instagram too:

I love love LOVE the fabrics and how amazingly well-made it all is <3

Only thing that surprised me was not getting a wig with Rosemii. I checked the sales page and it doesn't mention that you'll get a random wig, so I guess Peakswoods stopped doing that? ._.
At least I got the cute bunny ear wig together with the clothes. :)

Also. I noticed that Rosemii - even though she is colored - does not have any marbling from what I could tell. I was pretty impressed. I think I've noticed tiny marbling on almost all my PW dolls...so yeah. That's pretty nice. :D

Last but not least I grabbed all the different colored Peakswoods dolls I own, undressed the bunch and lined them up for some comparison photos. Again, they are on my Instagram (

News!! :D

I finally made the last payment for my White Rabbit today!! Yaaay!! I'll have my Fitzwilliam with me for the summer holidays :D
I still haven't found out what I'll buy for him, but he will have most already when he comes. Just needs some boots and maybe some eyes. ^^
But really, I can't wait to see how the blu-grey skin tone looks like on a bigger doll. :)

Oh! And as soon as I finished my White Rabbit layaway, I asked for a new one for a suntan Hunky Dory XD
I'm so in love with her cute face. She is just soooo cute with her pouty big lips and droopy eyes *___*

I mean, look at her. She is gorgeous!! ^^
She will have a more 'mature' style I think. I really like her having warm colors...but I don't yet know how she will end up looking.

Finally!!! A happy ending to a looong wait

Today I finally got to go pic up my girls at the post office!
They arrived in Denmark over a week ago, but customs have been soooo slow with everything. I got really angry in the end XD
But fortunately I got to pic them up after work today, so I got happy again ;P

So all in all I've been waiting for my girls for....6,5 months :O
Buuuut! I assure you they were well worth the wait *_______________________________*

Aaaaand I did a box opening for you guys to see :D

 I'm so sorry for having bruises on my small fat hands XD I had to run for the bus the other day...and sort of tripped like a little kid ^^" So yeah, I hope you can ignore it XD

 Can I just rant about how GORGEOUS the PW resin is? No matter what color, it looks absolutely perfect!!!

Freyah got the lovely DollHeart dress, while Ophelia is rocking some clothes I've borrowed from my younger sister Johanne (Thank you <3)

I really like the eyes and the wigs that were sent with the girls. Especially the black wig on Ophelia. It's awesome quality and very silky and nice. ^^

I'm playing with the idea of styling it, I think it could be quite awesome actually :D

Gah! I just LOVE my girls *_________* I'm SOOO happy I decided to get them both. And those colors are just so amazing irl. ;___;~<3

I just spent all my money

So, quick update on my plans to pay off a huge chunk of my Dlights...I did - or well - I tried to. XD
I'm not very good at using PayPal, but I hope I did what I should.
This month I intended to spent all of my salary from my internship/job to pay off some of my Layaway for the Dlights. I managed to find enough money to transfer, so that I'll only need to pay off $100 by the end of December before my Dlights are payed off. I'm so excited! But at the same time I'm really anxious because PayPal transactions are slow? oO"
I'd hoped the money would be with PW later Friday after transferring it Friday morning, but I still haven't had any confirmation from PW that they've received it...so I'll just be biting my nails until I hear from them XD'
I never spent so much money at once...ö__ö"

So now I am super broke (I do have money for Christmas stuff - just not ANY doll stuff) XD
But I'm just happy I get to pay off my girls much much faster than anticipated :D

Ended up with a little extra cash this month

And so I decided to finally order the Liquitex Matte Medium and Matte Varnish! Yay!
As I've been more and more impatient to try it, as well as impatient to get to paint my sisters Soom deer girl, I just had to buy these two compounds.
I'm so excited to be able to do the spraying inside. It'll be so nice not to have to rely on dry weather (especially as it rains most of the time here in the winter period). I also believe I'll be doing a lot more faceups when I don't have to go outside and look like a freak spraying my dolls while wearing a huge respirator mask. XD

So yeah, huge thanks to Ellesmera for inspiring me to try these. I'm so super excited to see how it is to work with. Also because it'll be a good kick in my butt to get started using my airbrush ;D

Oh! And did you guys see the new promo banner on the PW page and facebook? *__*
Grey Dlight is just gorgeous! I also completely love her faceup and styling. SO happy I get to have both kinds of these beauties. :'D
I hope to be able to pay a huge part of them off when my pay rolls into my account tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to make the last payment by the end of December :D

Aaaaand hopefully PW will not release any drop-dead-gorgeous dolls in the near future XD

Nearing winter

Yesterday PW announced their Christmas Event!
It seems they were planning on releasing new dolls, but they had to postpone those plans, since their sculptor KyungMin hurt her hand and had to have a surgery to get it fixed. Since she will not be able to use her hand for a month, PW decided to make their Christmas Event so, that you can order any of the 2014 limited dolls again in December. Some of the skin colors will not be offered, and some will be offered in other skintones (Dlight).
I think this is a really nice event. It's great that people get at second chance to get the limited edition dolls. But at the same time I'm a little relieved that people can't order Dlight in the same skin tones I got her in...it just makes them a little more special to me. ;P

PW just uploaded a new cover photo for their FB showing a white skin White Rabbit Tristan - so gorgeous! I tell you that sculpt will look good no matter what XD
I like how they gave him some darker red eyes, They look great. ^^

But I'm sort of happy PW didn't release new dolls. I'm not sure I would be able to control myself if they released something awesome again XDD'
At the moment I wont have to feel scared of needing anything new. So that's reassuring...mainly for my wallet. Hehe

But I look forward to seeing everyones new dolls :D
And I hope KyungMin is not too troubled by her accident ;__;

Yeah so, Peak's Woods just put up teasers of their new line for the Halloween event...WHY!! Of cause they are just amazing and stunning dolls! I am SO in love with the FOC Rabbit Goon, he is GORGEOUS!! *___* Why don't I have more money TT___TT

The idea PW has had this time is really awesome. They've redesigned some of the earliest FOFs, and have made them into FOCs! And do they look amazing? Oh they sure do! >____<

I've been so naughty!

So I didn't win anything in the PW photo contest - that's just life.
The winning photo was awesome by the way! *^^*

BUT!! I've just placed an order of TWO Dlights - one Wake Up Dlight in Diamond Grey skin with the special glitter eyes, and one Open Eyed Dlight in Suntan skin - both with extra hands (those awesome long nailed ones) and high heel feet.

I've asked for a 12 payment layaway - so that's going to be interesting. I'm pretty sure I'll end up paying it off sooner, but this was just to be safe in case of unforeseen expenses later - like insurance and so on. ;D

I'm SO excited! These two girls will probably be my only SD-sized companions for a very long time, but I think they will look awesome together, and I'll enjoy finding stuff for them the next year XD

So that's me being crazy...now you know >_<"

I've noticed how I keep going past PW's homepage to look (drool) at her, so I'm beginning to get nervous about the end of this month ^^"

I'll wait until one of the last days in this month to ask for her on layaway (in the Diamond Grey of cause) so that I can still decide not to for a little longer. XD
The minimum first payment of $200 is making me a little uneasy, but I could use the last money from Mr. AngelsDoll Michael to pay it actually...Let's see what the future will bring - or at least the end of August ;D

I still haven't gotten any faceups done (ended up wiping them all), but hopefully I can do Alice's tomorrow so that I can compete in the PW photo contest - and maybe win a Dlight?? XD'

After seeing the promo pics of the open eyed Dlight, I'm actually more in love with the Wake Up Dlight. She is super seductive and gorgeous. But I don't think I'm going to buy one. The diamond-grey skin tone looks awesome. It looks very shimmery and more light than the blue-grey skin tone of ex. my Alice.
So I guess I'll just wait and see if I'm lucky to win anything in the photo contest. Else I'll probably try to save my money for next time. ^^"

LE Wake Up Dlight

Today PW released promopictures of the new Limited Edition Wake Up Dlight - the Fairy of Diamond!
She is beautiful, but I must admit I'm not sold really. I think they will be releasing the promopictures of the open eyed version of Dlight tomorrow, so I'm not safe yet.

Peak's Woods has changed their rules a little this time - I wonder if they read the DoA threads about their dolls XD
They've never really had any rules about layaway payments, but this time it says your first deposit needs to be at least $200 if you want a Dlight on layaway. :O
I think because PW has grown more and more popular over the last year, that they need to control the layaways a bit more, but that is understandable.
Another thing - and this is why I was wondering if they read the threads on DoA - is that you can pay $40 extra and get the AB body, though only in white or normal skin. This has never been an option before, so it's quite interesting. ^^

But yeah, let's see what tomorrow brings - am I safe or not on August 1st. XD

Patience paid off

I'm so excited!!
This morning I got a (well 4 actually) mail from PW that they had shipped my new tinies :D
I hope to get them here without any trouble.
Usually it takes about 8-9 days for parcels from Korea to arrive here in Denmark, so I'm hoping I'll get them at the end of next week ^^

I'm still waiting on news on my most recent Taobao order, but I'll probably not get their faceups done right away anyway as exams are coming up and I'll be quite stressed out until mid-June ^^"

Another thing: I've fallen in love with an Amors dress on Taobao that I think would be just perfect for Alice...So I guess I'll need to try even harder to sell some stuff to be able to buy it for her soon. It's way better than her brown set, so I think I'll sell that one too. :)

Patience...so hard to have

I received answer from Peak's Woods yesterday about my order. Turns out it will probably be another two weeks before my FOFs will be shipped out.
In the meantime I guess I need to find some clothes and stuff for them, seeing as I've only clothes for the twins and Alice atm...so not fair as it is Lucy and Loki who will be the only ones arriving with a body XD
So yeah, I guess I'll be going through TaoBao this weekend.
I'm actually considering to look for another dress for Alice, as I think the one I have for her might not really fit her personality/my imaginative picture of her...but it's OK, I'll just look around if I can find anything better or not. ;P

Anyone has a favorite TaoBao seller/shop to recommend for tiny-sized clothes? ^^

Ups. Long time, no post.

It has actually been over a month since I last posted. That is bad!!
I've been really busy with school and stuff, so there hasn't really been happening a lot of doll-related stuff around here.

However, I decided to write to Peak's Woods today, to inquire after my layaway order that I finished back in March. I just wanted to hear if they could give me an estimate as to how soon my new dollies will be shipped. Hopefully it will be soon. If I am not mistaken, it looks like my order is the oldest payed-in-full layaway order now, so I guess they ought to ship my order soon...*hopes* ^^

I still need to find a pair of white or orange shoes for Nellie, as her dress turned out to be orange and not pink XD
But the stuff I got from TaoBao was really great. I'm so surprised at the quality. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I've really gotten some awesome stuff (reffering here to the order mentioned in the privious post). The wigs are great, the eyes look awesome and the dresses are really cute. I found out the two dresses came with a pair of socks as well - I don't know if I forgot or just didn't read the describtion properly or what, but now I have a lot of pretty socks for my girls. ^^"

So I'm really hoping for a positive reply from Peak's Woods, and that I shall meet my new additions very soon. :3

Quick update

Oh nooo..... it's been a while since I last wrote. School started, and I got quite busy, but hopefully I'll be more active now.
Just some quick news as I am going to bed in a minute: I've paid my last payment on my Peak's Woods layaway. I'm so excited! Hope I won't have to wait too long before they are shipped.
I sort of got a bit stressed at the fact the dollies (most of them) are 'on their way', so I kind of made this huge order at Taobaotrends for almost all the stuff I need for the new ones. I'm bad I know. Hope I have enough money for the rest of the month. XD
But now I can sleep at night :P Knowing they will not have to be butt naked when they come home :3
I'm still looking for the right wig for Loki, and still need to buy the shoes and uniforms for both Loki and Lucy, but other than that should be in the order I just made. Hope the eyes look just as awesome as on the pictures (I'll show what I ordered in the next post, when I have heard from Taobaotrends that they are able to order it all). ^^
I've actually ordered different eyes for Nellie and Annabelle. And their dresses will be different colors, but the same design. I was very in doubt about what to get for those two, as I imagined that it had to be pink and blue, but I've ordered dresses in purple and pink. Though it's another color for Annabelle, I'm sure she'll look awesome in purple. I've also ordered shoes that (hopefully) match the colors of the dresses pretty well. But I promise I'll post exactly what I've ordered and for whom in my next post. ;)

FINALLY!! The day came when I could go get Alice home from the post office.

YES! Today it happened! My note from customs told me I could go pick Alice up from the local Post Office. Today it is exactly 120 days since I ordered her, so that was a pretty long wait. I think I almost grew a beard. >_<"

Anyway, I was really surprised that the Danish customs only wanted me to pay around $38 for her, I thought I would need to cough up the triple of that sum. Phew so this months budget is saved! XD

Any anyway...I went and picked up the package and it was SO smaller and lighter than I am used to. She is my first doll under 58cm, so I was really surprised that I could easily carry her around and stuff. So nice. ^^
When I got home I immediately grabbed my camera and started documenting the box opening:

 

I was so excited about the resin color, and it is just as I thought, so I'm really really glad! She was totally worth the wait!
The clothes from Taobao is a bit big, but it looks really cute on her I think. The hat is sliding down at times though, but I should be able to fix that somehow, and if not, the set is just as cute without the hat ;P
I really like the eyes. I think they will really be awesome once I get her faceup done ^^
I might also want to get some brown socks for her...the white ones were the best of the three pairs I have, but I think brown ones would be better. XD
I've just been in happy-happy land all day because she is so perfect :3
