Just wanted to post how I have now convinced one of my sisters (Helene) to get herself a Peak's Woods doll as well XD
I guess I've been a little hard on my sisters pestering them about my incoming dolls and shoving my tinies in their face at any given moment. So yeah, Helene caved in and ordered an FOF Rabbit Waltz which will be super cute as a girl :D
And now we can both fangirl over PW...and maybe even convince Johanne (my oldest little sister) to also join in the PW fun. Haha

It'll be awesome to see Rabbit Waltz. I considered getting one before I went all 'must-have-SD-sized-dolls-again'-crazy so I'm so happy I'll get to play with one anyway ;D

Ellesmera from Fantasywoods.net told me about how she uses Liquitex Matte Medium and Liquitex Matte Varnish to seal her dolls. It sounds like a fantastic alternative to MSC. Unfortunately it's quite expensive to get, if at all possible. Why does it have to be so difficult? -___- I think I'll have to order through artsupplies.co.uk to get both of the components. It's not ridiculously pricy...it's just I keep thinking about paying off my Dlights and go "but thats [insert percentage] of one payment for my Dlights...I'd rather pay my layaway off noooow!"
And so I must wait until january to order those Liquitex stuff. But I'm certain I'll do it since it's supposed to be non-toxic and I would therefore be able to spray it inside my dorm room without dying in my sleep XD
Idk I've just become a bit affraid of MSC after listening to a horrifying sound clip of a girl on DOA who got a chronical condition in her lungs due to MSC. >____<"

I hope the weather will be good this weekend, then I might be able to play around with my sisters SOOM tiny. ^^

One White Rabbit coming up!

I did it!!! I'm both ecstatic and horrified at the same time! XDD'
Of cause, in the end, I decided I needed the White Rabbit (not Rabbit Goon as I earlier thought ;P). He is actually Dandy Tristan, but with other skin colour options than just the normal normal or white skin.
This time PW offered full sets, so off I went and got him in the blue-grey skin tone I love so and the full set which is über cute!! ^^ Only thing that did not come with the full set was the boots, which are unfortunately sold out from DollHeart...maybe I'll find some similar on Taobao ;D
The eyes where not sold via PW's page as well, so I'll have too look for some on Taobao as well. I really love the resin eyes PW sells, but I don't know if I would pay that much for a couple of eyes that might yellow - I tend to magically make all non-glass eyes yellow...TT__TT
And I also didn't get him with a faceup seeing as I've already spend SO much money on awesome faceup materials, so I should really do those myself. I also like to change the dolls faceups from time to time anyway, so I guess I just felt the $80 would be too much when I can do one myself for free - though not as awesome as Nornan's (one of PW's new faceup artists), but at least I'm getting to a point where I think it's decent. XD
I sort of jumped in right away and ordered him on a looong layaway, because I got afraid when I read that the full sets would be limited and might sell out quickly, and I wanted the full set so badly I just put him in the basket before I even had the money...I'm beginning to question my own sanity. Hehe
BUT! I do feel very satisfied, and I feel like these three (White Rabbit and my two Dlights) are the dolls I need for now. Since the Dandy boys came out in May, I've been deeply in love with the Tristan sculpt, and I was really sad that I had decided on not having SD-sized dolls anymore. But that promise didn't last long, for as soon as I saw the Dlight sculpt I was IN LOVE!! And as soon as I had ordered those lovely ladies, I was already thinking about giving them a male companion. Somehow I decided I only need one male...? So suntan Dlight - I'm sorry, but for now you will be without a man ;__; I'm so cruel (no, I'm being dictated by my wallet XD)
I looked through some of the Dollism NY pictures to make out the skin tones, and I think my diamond grey Dlight will look perfect in the arms of my blue-grey White Rabbit *___*
I like the idea that they are not totally the same colour, for that would make it a little too unified I think XD
But aw! I can't wait to get them all home and just go insane over their beauty >_<~<3

I'll also try to do a faceup this coming weekend. My weekend blues this past weekend - where I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO - resulted in me lying in my bed all the time drooling over PW promo pictures, chatting with the awesome people in the PW FOC discussion thread on DoA, and watching Twin Peaks on Netflix. XDD'
I was a real couch potato >____<"

The idea PW has had this time is really awesome. They've redesigned some of the earliest FOFs, and have made them into FOCs! And do they look amazing? Oh they sure do! >____<

I've been so naughty!

So I didn't win anything in the PW photo contest - that's just life.
The winning photo was awesome by the way! *^^*

BUT!! I've just placed an order of TWO Dlights - one Wake Up Dlight in Diamond Grey skin with the special glitter eyes, and one Open Eyed Dlight in Suntan skin - both with extra hands (those awesome long nailed ones) and high heel feet.

I've asked for a 12 payment layaway - so that's going to be interesting. I'm pretty sure I'll end up paying it off sooner, but this was just to be safe in case of unforeseen expenses later - like insurance and so on. ;D

I'm SO excited! These two girls will probably be my only SD-sized companions for a very long time, but I think they will look awesome together, and I'll enjoy finding stuff for them the next year XD

So that's me being crazy...now you know >_<"

I've noticed how I keep going past PW's homepage to look (drool) at her, so I'm beginning to get nervous about the end of this month ^^"

I'll wait until one of the last days in this month to ask for her on layaway (in the Diamond Grey of cause) so that I can still decide not to for a little longer. XD
The minimum first payment of $200 is making me a little uneasy, but I could use the last money from Mr. AngelsDoll Michael to pay it actually...Let's see what the future will bring - or at least the end of August ;D

Incoming!!!

I happened to ckeck the Track & Trace number for my dolls today, and it shows that I can collect them at the postoffice tomorrow!! YAY!
Normally, when it's a package with customs though, you get a note from the customs with the amount you have to pay, but I haven't received one so it's really lucky I checked the Track & Trace. So weird.

So hopefully I'll be making box-opening shoots tomorrow ^___^
Can't wait to actually see the sculpts irl. I'm just hoping I won't be too upset about the lack of two bodies XD

Patience paid off

I'm so excited!!
This morning I got a (well 4 actually) mail from PW that they had shipped my new tinies :D
I hope to get them here without any trouble.
Usually it takes about 8-9 days for parcels from Korea to arrive here in Denmark, so I'm hoping I'll get them at the end of next week ^^

I'm still waiting on news on my most recent Taobao order, but I'll probably not get their faceups done right away anyway as exams are coming up and I'll be quite stressed out until mid-June ^^"

Another thing: I've fallen in love with an Amors dress on Taobao that I think would be just perfect for Alice...So I guess I'll need to try even harder to sell some stuff to be able to buy it for her soon. It's way better than her brown set, so I think I'll sell that one too. :)

Patience...so hard to have

I received answer from Peak's Woods yesterday about my order. Turns out it will probably be another two weeks before my FOFs will be shipped out.
In the meantime I guess I need to find some clothes and stuff for them, seeing as I've only clothes for the twins and Alice atm...so not fair as it is Lucy and Loki who will be the only ones arriving with a body XD
So yeah, I guess I'll be going through TaoBao this weekend.
I'm actually considering to look for another dress for Alice, as I think the one I have for her might not really fit her personality/my imaginative picture of her...but it's OK, I'll just look around if I can find anything better or not. ;P

Anyone has a favorite TaoBao seller/shop to recommend for tiny-sized clothes? ^^

1. What is the next doll you have planned?
Well, if it's a full doll I actually have NO plans atm (freaky, I know).
I need to buy two bodies for two of my incoming girls - does that count? :D

2. Most people int the BJD hobby have characters for their dolls. Assuming you do too, how did the character come to be?
I guess it came gradually after I bought Alice. I had not planned to buy a doll at that time, but I couldn't help myself when I saw her. So then I decided I had to create a story about her, and along the road I decided to add more tinies to that equation. Loki and Lucy were the first ones, they are the ones who discover Alice as she arrives in 'our world'. Next came Nellie and Annabelle. I've always wanted a pair of twin dolls, but having two sisters who are twins, I know that they are not really identical and so I made them with different personalities. They are the ones who discover Alice's lost sidekick cat and that way gets spun into the story.

3. Do your dolls have a theme song, and if so which one(s)?
Not at the moment no. I havn't thought that far, sorry >_<"

4. Where do you prefer to talk about dolls? (DoA, blogs, Tumblr, other?)
I'm most active on Resin Garden (the Danish BJD society), blogs and DoA. Also DeviantArt at times.
I had Facebook once, but I ended up deleting my profile as I got too annoyed with it...XD

5. What do you like most about the doll hobby?
I think the multiple creative aspects of the hobby are just really appealing to me. And I've always like pretty stuff ;3
The community around the hobby is also a great factor to make it an fantastic hobby. The way information, ideas, tutorials etc are shared is just awesome. Also the fact that you get to see other BJD peoples dolls and tastes and what not is just so inspiring. ^^

6. What do you like the least about the doll hobby?
All the problems with recasts and that. :(

7. Do you dream of any kind of doll that does not yet exist?
Well, I play with ideas sometimes, but as I like regular human dolls the most (and my vampire girl <3) I feel like I would be able to find the dolls I want already. I still let my imagination run wild sometimes though.

8. Do you have any irl friends who share your hobby?
Yes. I love talking with my doll-friends. It's so nice and stimulating (in a non-gross way :P). Like if I have an idea but am unsure if it will work, I can ask my friends what they think. I like that.
I'm also very lucky to have two of my younger sisters in the hobby as well, so I get to talk dollies a lot, yay!

9. If you could get 1 free doll right now, which doll would you choose?
I seriously don't know.....uhmm....let's see....maybe Peak's Woods LE Back to 1920's? She is SO gorgeous! .....Or maybe a Ringdoll Julia....*Brain goes up in smoke* XD

10. Have you gotten any new friends through the doll hobby?
Yes! A lot of new friends actually, and that is just plain awesome! They are all very nice and friendly :D

11. Honestly, do you think you'll ever lose your interest in dolls?
I'm pretty confident that I'll never lose interest, but if I look at the statistics of my previous interests *draws chart and calculates numbers* I'm more often losing interest in things than keeping them XD
But I think it would take a lot of effort for me to lose my interest in the dolls. ;P

I guess, as this is a sort of chain letter thingy, and that I am supposed to send some questions to some other peoples blogs and stuff, but I only really know 3, so I think I'll interview people in stead at a later time >:D I'm so bad. Muhahaha

Consepts on The Crew

Yesterday I used www.dreamself.me to create the consepts of the 5 dolls I am waiting for.
You can see the pics under the 'The Crew' tab in the top of this blog.

I've search a lot for a doll creator that had both male and female stuff, AND was full body. But I saw the cute avatars Akatsuki from fushitebjd.blogspot.com had made, and wanted to use that creator to make my own. It has been really helpfull to make the avatars, since I've become more at peace with how my dolls should look and be and stuff. So the avatars are quite close to the ideas I have in my head on how my dolls will actually look. ^^

The story is far from finished, not even really begun, but I will probably write on it more seriously when I get Alice home. I think she will be a really big inspiration for me to write the story properly.

A girl on DoA has already recieved her Alice, so I hope it'll not be long before I hold my own. The color looks lighter on her (the DoA member) pictures than on the PW promotion pics, but it looks really nice anyway.

Happy New Year!!

I've had a massive cold over the holidays, starting from the 23th December...yay....so I've been out cold...haha...

Anyway, I've constantly checked my email over the holidays, in hope to get a shipping notice from PW saying they've shipped Alice out...so far no luck, but in the FOF thread on DoA one or two people have already recieved their shipping notice, so I hope it is just a matter of days now. The latest on DoA to recieve shipping notice for a halloween event doll ordered hers with special makeup and stuff, so I hope mine is not that far behind as I ordered mine blank. >_<
I hate waiting... XD

I also payed my 2nd installment of my layaway on PW, and I just realized how long I'll have to wait to get my group together. oO" Ah well, I'll just have to practice some patience here...

So yeah, nothing much to tell at the moment...so I should probably just go back to studying for my exam next week. (Yeah, I'm procrastinating) ^^"

Oh right! Small update! I've sold my Luts Senior Delf Dahlia. I'm really happy that she found a new owner. ^^ So now I just need to find a new home for my AngelsDoll A-line 70cm Michael. Seems like AngelsDoll is out of business. I've heard rumors they will be back later this year with new stuff, but their site has been offline for almost a year now. :O

Names

I did some brainstorming yesterday evening to find names for the dolls I have on layaway. So far I only had a name for Alice, so I've felt quite sort of neglectfull towards all the other dolls.
But fear not, I think I have found some great names for my little army of cuteness.

My v.f. Alice will - as you know - be named Alice Dé Dracûl
My Cheshire Goon will be named Lucy
My Dorothy Young will be named Nellie
Her twin Mr Hollow will be named Annabelle
And my Naomi boy will be named Loki

I look forward to get them in my hands and hope the names will be as fitting in real life as they are in my head ;D

Spending all that money...why not spend some more!

As I wrote earlier, I ordered some stuff for Alice and the others.
My sister told me about Taobao a long time ago, but I didn't really have the energy to get acustomed to using an agent and stuff, so I never used it until a week or so ago. I found that Taobao has a lot of awesome stuff for BJDs and for a great price too, even with the agent fee.

So I made an order through Taobaotrends, which is really easy, and it took about two days and it was ordered. At the moment I am waiting for Taobaotrends to recieve the items and validate if they are as described. I'm really looking forward to see, how Taobaotrends are to deal with.

So, I decidet to start making this blog today.
I've thought about making a blog about my dolls for a long time, but today I finally decided to do something about it. I do admit, I got very inspired by some of the people from Resin Garden - the Danish forum for BJD. ;)

It all started, when I thought I didn't have the time and space for my 3 large dolls; a Peak's Woods Wake Up Cue, a Luts Senior Delf Dahlia and an Angelsdoll 70cm Michael.
So far, I've only sold one of them - the beautifull PW doll - but I already have 3 dolls and 2 floating heads on their way. Well, the first one, a Peak's Woods FOF v.f. Lady Alice in gray-blue skin from their Halloween event this year...I do confess, she might be the reason I decided to have an all tiny family.

I am currently waiting to get her shipped, but she is payed and should be shipped soon. ^^
Her name will be Alice Dé Dracûl and she is the daughter of the president of the Republic of Transylvania, a parallel universe, and is searching to learn the mysteries of the human world.
I have already ordered her clothes, and I think it will be just perfect for her. But I can show what I have in mind for her in the next post.

Only a month after I ordered Alice, Peak's Woods announced that they would hold a winter event, giving a free FOF head with every FOF doll from 1st ~ 15th December. So evil! I couldn't resist and ended up arranging a layaway for 2 dolls with 2 extra heads.

A Mr Hollow girl in normal skin, because I just love those big, doe-like eyes. I haven't found a name for her yet, but I do know that she will be the twin sister of the Dorothy Young I ordered with this girl.

The Dorothy Young head will soon get a body, as I will probably order bodies for the extra heads soon after finishing the layaway for the dolls in March.
The two twins will get lolita dresses and be darn cute. So now you are warned :P

I did order one boy, a Naomi, because he has the right amount of cheekyness about him to make him fit the character I have in mind for him.

With the Naomi boy, I ordered a Cheshire Goon head for the last girl I have in mind. She will be Alice's best human friend, and she is very adventurous. So they will have a lot of fun together I am sure. :)













So that's it for now. This will be my doll family and I really can't wait for them to arrive. But until they do, I will just spam this blog with stuff I buy for them from Taobao and whereever ^^
